Academic Accommodations
Denver Seminary strives to provide students with disabilities with equal access to educational opportunities.
A qualified individual under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) includes anyone who has a physical or mental impairment which substantially limits one or more major life activities. Examples include, but are not limited to:
-
Hearing impairments
-
Specific learning disabilities
-
Chronic illnesses
-
Mental illnesses
Students with a documented disability can receive reasonable accommodations at no cost. These students must still be qualified to fulfill the expectations and standards associated with their program of study. These students will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability or denied equal access to academic opportunities at the Seminary.

Determination of Accommodations
Students wishing to receive accommodations must submit a request to the Student Care Office along with written documentation from a qualified professional. This documentation must clearly establish the functional academic limitations which require accommodations to achieve equal access and contain suggestions for offsetting these limitations.
For more information about disability services, please review the Disability Services Request Form and contact the Student Care Specialist.
